Testing Center at ICHEMAD – Profarb!

The growth of ICHEMAD – Profarb is based on the work of our own research and applications department, and on cooperation with scientific establishments. We have a specialized machine park for testing our Customers’ products, operated by highly qualified team of experts. This allows us to provide you with service that is not only comprehensive, but also in line with modern trends.

Mills, dissolvers and dispersers – basic elements of chemical plants

Having modern machines and devices at our disposal enables us to offer our Customers the possibility to test their products. Among other units, we are offering a high energy turbine plate mill, which is an upgrade of our PS-type mills. The device features an advanced design, while the elements of its milling chamber are made of ceramics. PSF-type high energy horizontal mills allow you to use very fine balls. Extremely effective cooling can handle milling diverse products at low processing temperatures. This feature is particularly important in the production of delicate pigments, for which high temperatures are destructive. The equipment of high energy turbine plate mill would be incomplete without an electric pump, feeding the product into the milling chamber, and an integrated cooling system composed of a chiller and a pump, used for feeding the cooling water to the mill.

The Customers of ICHEMAD – Profarb can also use a semi-technical dissolver designed for work with a 200 L vat. A machine of this type is suitable for dispersing solid particles in liquids. The process of dispersion is carried out in mobile vats featuring a high-performance pillow plate cooling jacket. The dissolver has two agitators, one of which is a centrally positioned plate agitator. The device’s arm has a scraper. The semi-technical dissolver has a vacuum system put inside of it, which enables purging air from the vat’s inside.

Another device that we are offering to our Customers is a rotor – stator flow disperser. It’s a device designed for high-performance dispersing and mixing of liquid and bulk raw materials. This operation results in very permanent suspensions. The disperser enables carrying out tests on 50 liters of volume with the use of an integrated buffer tank, or on up to 1000 liters with the use of an IBC container or a vat. Device of this type is suitable for production of paints & varnishes, enamel, coatings, glues & binders and many other substances.

ICHEMAD – Profarb works with TMC GmbH

We already have several years of fruitful collaboration with a German company TMC GmbH behind us. They are dealing in optimization of manufacturing and services based on recipes for paint, varnish, printing ink and glue industry.

Together with Mr. Frank Kother we’re giving lectures as a part of postgraduate studies for the chemical sector – Varnished Products: Technology and Applications, which are offered by Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Cracow University of Technology.

Our cooperation with TMC GmbH also extends to the field of business. Their specialists help us with the implementation of many technologies for our Customers, such as inliner technologies – especially in the area of printing, decorative and industrial inks. Our work consists of two stages: first, in the TMC GmbH laboratory, and then at ICHEMAD – Profarb, where production tests are being carried out. This way we can offer our Customers the best solutions, because each and every machine will work at peak performance when powered with production technology.
